West Paw Design

Bozeman, Montana

Taylor Construction completed new construction of the original West Paw Design manufacturing facility in July 2001. All consideration was made at that time that expansion would be a possibility.  The owner needed a clear span facility so as his market changed they could reconfigure the manufacturing/ production without dealing with walls or columns. The tilt up concrete with a Behlins metal roof system would allow that.

The owner was very conscious of having a green building but wasn’t interested in the LEED process. In the expansion we basically cut loose the roof system and the floor ties and flew the back wall 100 feet and filled in the middle with new panels that matched the existing building.

The two key factors in building the project was the unstable ground and keeping the facility in full production while building the expansion. The finished facility is a testament to the quality of work and service that R&R Taylor Construction takes pride in providing to every client
